Hey Snuzzy readers. I wanted to apologize for posting that video of the cop kicking the cat. When I originally saw that video it was a different local news clip that had edited out the cop kicking the cat. The version I saw showed the cat on the cop’s head and was followed with a local reporter going out to the scene and meeting and playing with the kitten himself. But there are hundreds of copies of the video on YouTube and when I went to get the code for it I must’ve gotten the code for a different local news channel doing a similar story on the same clip. I didn’t see the cop kicking the cat until after I read the comments. That post has been taken down, and I apologize if I’ve offended anyone–I’d never post a video like that here on purpose! I hope you’ll accept this picture of a happy seal as an olive branch:

Hey, Brad, don’t worry about it. Stuff like that happens. When I watched the clip, I didn’t think the officer was trying to harm the cat, but was more, “Cat, get OFF of me.” My kids have four cats, so my two Afghan Hounds and I know what weirdos cats can be.

Ditto Christine…he didn’t kick the cat as much as nudge him off. Little matter, the cat went back to the task as if nothing happened. I don’t think the cat would have made it to his head if the cop was a real cat kicker. Love your site.

Did you crop the baseball bat out of this picture? Just kidding. Can’t believe people are so serious.

I am a cat lover – I volunteer and do cat rescue – abusers are total scum – On the “Cat kicking” video if you are talking about the video where a cop is ticketing a person and a black and white kitten is climbing all over him, on his head, etc – I thought he handled it really well. However, this cop did not “kick” or hurt that cat.

Ther eis a big difference between kicking an animal, and using your foot to get a feisty kitten away from your leg to prevent him from climbing up it.

I take animal cruelty very seriously, and this just was not cruelty by any means.

All he did at he end was use his foot to shoo the cat away, he tossed the cat with his foot – which was perfectly d

I saw the video before you posted it here. The cop didn’t “kick” the kitten. Just gave it a stern warning. Don’t sweat it. Your doing an excellent job.
