This, my furriends, is a Fishing Cat:

What’s a Fishing Cat, you ask? Well, it’s actually a web-pawed feline that swims around in Southeast Asia and eats fish, along with other small creatures that get in the way. Like chickens, apparently. (That last link will take you to a few NOT SO SNUZZY images of a Fishing Cat getting his feed on, FYI. Be aware.)

Turns out that they’ve got their snuzzy sides, too, something evidenced by these pix. That said, I don’t think I’ll be getting one as a pet any time soon.

The cat being licked in these photos has probably witnessed the Fishing Cat’s eating habits and therefore does NOT look so excited about being cleaned. Can’t say I blame her.

The zoo in Singapore is famous for it’s night viewing and the fishing cats are a huge attraction. They line up along a stream and paw away all night long hunting for minnows. Their pawsome.

Yes, dogs can be a part of the Fuishing cat’s diet. They have also been known to take small children according to villagers. However their main diet consists of fish and other aquatic wildlife, hence their name.
