This cat, named Herman, was found inside a bag that his owner was beating against the wall of a building. The pictured officer stopped the owner and saved the cat. The cat was treated by a vet an is expecting a full recovery, and his owner is being charged with cruelty to animals. Smiles all around! (via Cute With Chris)

    What is WRONG with some people?! I love fuzzies even when they misbehave, and only train with positive reinforcement. I had five kids and did not spank, despite some very naughty things they did over the years. I cannot imagine how anyone could harm that beautiful white cat. I do love the kind and loving look on the officer’s face and am thankful that he rescued Herman and that his abuser is being punished.

    @Christine:
    YOUR first question was exactly MY first question.

    Thank you Mini. I just cannot imagine harming innocent creatures, human or furry. October 4 is St. Francis’ feast day and the blessing of animals in many parishes, so say special prayers that day against such horrid abuse.

    Kudos to the officer for a job well done. Let’s hope Herman gets the loving home he deserves.

    Some people don’t deserve to be in this world, let’s just hope what they say about karma is true.

    I hope Herman goes to a wonderful, loving forever home. His owner (or ex owner, as the case may be) should be stuffed into a large sack and slammed repeatedly against a building. With the officer who saved Herman on the scene to keep anyone from stopping the slamming!!! Am I mad?? Bet your A%S!!

    I’m glad the cat is going to recover. Now, can we talk about how snuzzy the rescuer is?!

    Things like this are why I cant watch certain shows on Animal Planet. The thought of hurting the helpless and dependant ones makes my fangs punch the floor!!!
    GRRRRRRRRR!
