A 44-pound cat, found wandering the southern New Jersey community of Voorhees last Saturday, is seen on Monday, July 28, 2008 in Sicklerville, N.J. The cat’s owners have until Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 to reclaim her; then, she’ll be up for adoption. The cat, only a couple pounds lighter than the heaviest cat on record, is being cared for at the Camden County, N.J., Animal Shelter. (Al Schell, Associated Press / July 30, 2008)

Now, how exactly do you lose a cat that big? The furry piece of chunk is scheduled to be on “Live with Regis and Kelly” on Thursday morning and “Good Morning America” on Friday. It will be interesting to see what ‘Princess Chunk’ has to meow about.

It is very odd that a “plus sized” cat like that would be found wandering. She could not be a stray since it does not look like she’s missed any meals. I hope she finds a good home where she can lose a little weight.
My mistress’s cat was 100% overweight (20 lbs and she was supposed to be 10 lbs), which is why she died…
Hope the kitty finds a good home like Daisy above.
