Hachiko is one of my favorite true stories about pets. He’s a cute Akita that became a national icon in Japan for his loyalty and devotion to his owner. You can read about his story on Wikipedia. The story of Hachiko is being adapted into an upcoming American movie starring Richard Gere, and the trailer features some heartwarming cute puppy action. Though, be warned, I got a little sniffly:
