I've actually heard that its a "trust" issues amongst cats. Since their belly is their most vulnerable spot on their body, they are very protective of who messes with it. Not saying you kitty doesn't trust you or anything.

My cat personally loves belly rubs...he always rolls over and patiently waits for me or my mother to rub his belly. I always wonder if he was a dog in his past life...haha. jk

I stand corrected! But I know my cat hates getting her belly rubbed, and it always surprises me. It looks like she's begging for it, but she's not! The person who made this chart's cat probably has the same temperament, but your milage may vary.

I guess they forgot to tell me that kitties don't like belly kissies cause I love them. Mom is now training my baby bro, Milo. Everyday she puts him on his back and snorgles him until he wants up. You know what? He purrs and purrs.

I have had four kittens in my extra room since they were four weeks old and I rub their bellies all the time and they love it. I think it all depends on what they get used to when they are little kittens.
