Wow! Those eyes! Those markings! That nose! Those paws! That tongue! Those whiskers!
**Okay Meowm! Sheesh! We understand…you like this kitty!**
Wow! Too adorable for words. I HAD to know more about this amazing kitty. You can too if you go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margay_Cat. If you can’t get enough photos of this amazing cat, here are some more: http://www.odditycentral.com/pics/margay-the-tiger-cat.html.
Oh yes, Junior, we totally agree! That kitty is mega-ultra-snuzzy. I would like to have one of them in our home, but it is probably illegal, plus I am not sure about those giant kitties and a pair of large Afghan Hounds hanging together. Plus my sons have four normal sized kitties, too, and it is already Pet Hair City around here. Sigh.
IF NOT ILLEGAL TO ‘OWN’ THEY SHOULD BE.
These cats are NOT pets!
Look at their eyes for instance, Christine.
They are clearly nocturnal. They NEED to be awake at night hunting.
I doubt your home would be a suitable environment.
OK, Timmay– Sorry to get you upset. I just think those cats are absolutely gorgeous and was day dreaming about one in person prowling around over here. I am an animal lover. And, whether or not it is pc, I am their owner. I am responsible for their health and safety. Unlike my five kids, these pets will not ever graduate, get jobs or move out to an apartment. I own them and will never abandon them or my responsibility for them. They are also part of our family, I love and care for them and feed them and give them the medications they need and pay their vet bills and make sure they have lots of toys, treats and exercise. When I said I would like to have one of those beautiful kitties, it was just a fantasy.
I’m up most nights! Plus, maybe my dogs will listen to one of those cats, they don”t listen to me. I think it could get very interesting around my house if I had one! It could stand guard over my english mastiff while my kittie finally comes out of the basement.
looks like Golem to me
absolutely stunning!
that is so cute it looks like a bobcat
Ah, an anime cat!! D:
RACHEL WANTS A MARGAY KITTY NAO. http://snuzzy.com/margay/
Beautiful, wild creature.
I must disagree with Christine, however. The three cats that roam my halls and walls…well….I am just as responsible for the health and safety of them, but I dare say I’m not their owner. Owning implies possession, which to me implies that if the object in question displeases me, I can just get rid of it. You don’t own a child, or a lover, and if for any reason they were no longer in your life, your heart would be forever changed. So too with animals. However put tho…. they are definitely part of the family.
zOMFG!1! Margay tiger cats are *impossibly* cute. http://snuzzy.com/margay/ [pix] They are endanged. I’ve never seen one before.
want
Well, i’m thinking of two words this “kitty.” 1Creepy, the thing looks creepy, who would want this creepy looking animal as a domesticated pet to OWN? They’re like the pug version of a dog as ugly is stuck on that cat. Just frickin ugly.
2Dangerous… This cute little “Tiger” which is obviously nocturnal, would eat your little kittens and mastiffs and pugs, and children while you were sleeping (who would be OWNED then?). If that’s not creepy, then go hit your kids with the ugly stick evolution did onto pugs and Chelsea Clinton and see what creepy means.
there’s something “off” about those eyes. it says “evil predator”.
and i’m a cat person.
@catsternewman OMG! I have to introduce u to my baker – makes the CUTEST slice bread around! Makes me all giddy… http://snuzzy.com/margay/
WHOA!
Those eyes are awesomely intense.
It’s almost creepy.
I love it.
photoshoped !!!! HA HA HA !!!!
Wow I made some dumb idiots, and then made the internet accessible to them. Get off the internet and go to church, but not a church of evangelists. They disgust me.
Hmmm, cats, predators…nahhh!
Adorable, wonder if they can purr?
For those who noted these animals are nocturnal – If you do your research, you will find that the typical domesticated cat and dog are supposed to be nocturnal. As well as hamsters, rats, some breeds of birdsm rabbits, chinchillas…
This cat looks very much like an Asian Leopard Cat. Am I correct?
“Owning implies possession, which to me implies that if the object in question displeases me, I can just get rid of it. ”
Uh, just for the record… you CAN just get rid of a pet… people give pets away all the time. I would never do that (unless I absolutely had to), but some people don’t consider pets a part of their family as much as you do. Technically, yes, we own pets.
But all of this is off topic.
KYOOOOOT!!!!!!
There’s cute. Then there’s really cute. Then a pause. Then this. http://tinyurl.com/bvvz9x

This Cat? It’s wild and awesome.
No, the fennec fox is
WOW these cats are wild and cute – just like my little tiger at home
Maybe instead of going on about how much you want one and would look after it and love it forever (though i must admit i wouldn’t mind it). Maybe you could raise money for them as they are near threatened and conservation dependent … just an idea.
it might be cute, but it can be more dangerous than a tiger
My cats own me, not I own them, (what appears to be a cute little kitten walks up to woodbayne and yowls) “yes master” (scampers off to get cat food) See >.<
Kalico, i agree with you about timmay on a highhorse, and being to over the top but u might just wanna look in a mirror. its the pot calling the kettle black
i really dont think its that cute. eyes are too freaky. but it does have a pretty coat.
looks like a lynx if u ask me. i dont hav anything against lynxes lol+the kats cute :)
Margay Tiger Cat: http://snuzzy.com/margay/
God, you did make some dumb people didn’t you? But that’s not the point, right now I just want to know where this photo was taken. That “cat” as you call it is one of my own and has been missing for sometime. I’d like to have it back…some of my “inmates” won’t listen unless the evil adorable thing is here to bite their faces off.
They are awesome cats. Love the huge eyes.
Like other wild cats, you coul dprolly own one, but would likelt need a “reserve” type of place. Bigger cats need room to roam, ir they will eventually start to go insane. Some friends of mine had a bobcat, but they also had land for it. Was a very friendly cat, but imagine your house cat at 50 pounds trying to play with you…
Yes, definitely those eyes are different ! Do what’s best for the cat.. don’t be selfish
Someone here said they were endangered. Yet, they never seen one. Is this true?
Laughing at: “Margay Tiger Cat is the Cutest Thing EVER” ( http://snuzzy.com/margay/ )
No worries Christine- you sound like a wonderful animal person.
Sadly, some people have too much money and too few brains- and actually would keep them as ‘pets’.
And there are evil people that would supply these creatures to those idiots.
It happens every day.
Glad to know you are on the Good Side.
Yeah, that’s one bad-ass lil’ leopard kitty. Wish I had me one.
Beleive it or not there are some responsible Margay cat owners out there…they are called Wildlife conservationists. They have special permits from the government they reside in and have them as educational tools for those they lecture to or have classes for. And yet they are still at most times have become pets, parts of the family and Timmay needs to get off his high horse and simply see that these pics were selected as a person’s example of cute…not some ‘me know it all you all are stupid’ bit. Enjoy the pics as they were meant to be enjoyed…stop being a toe rag and get a life.
This Big Cat says:
“Leave me be
in wilderness free,
and donate to a nature
conservancy.”
Very beautiful…so is a lion
Quite dangerous…like a lion.
Though I could see the awesome benefit of being a wildlife conservationist with plenty of land to study and preserve these fur-raisingly gorgeous felines!
That kittie is just too cute for words! Her fur, and the markings, and her eyes, and that nose are pure love <3
ooh, cute.
i want (no, do not jump on me, you who think owning a wild animal is bad, i’m not stupid, i said ‘want’ as in ohhh, i want to marry that movie star, not ‘will go steal’ as in i gonna get 1 nao!!11! :P)
i’ve always loved big cats
HOMGSOCUTE! http://is.gd/hCq4
Cute or creepy what do you think? http://snuzzy.com/margay/
Wow. Too bad they can’t be bought as pets because I would love to have one of those cute, little guys around.
Too cute! http://snuzzy.com/margay/
Ewe, creepy!
First thing I thought was…I want one! I’m not so unique in that regard, now am I? Then I decided to follow the link and saw this creature is not really domesticated, and threatened/endangered. Not suitable for captivity, IMO.
I’m sure there are those more covetous, less scrupulous, and far wealthier than I who would contribute to this species demise, now made ware by this “cuteness.”
Thumbs down.
omg…
its it the most cutest thing ever!!!
its eyes are beautiful!
I’m cute and fuzzy too, any ladies want my myspace addy?
I am an avid cat lover. I live in Montrose, Pa. I have bobcats that live behind my horse barn. I am amazed of these cats. Are they able to be human raised—-and if so how can I find out about bringing one on to the 89 acre farm?
Liz
i WANT one! adorable.
Hey Timmy, get educated before you go getting up on a high horse. This is an official breed called the Bengal. It has been bred specifically for the markings that make it look like (read it again: LOOK LIKE) a small wild cat. This breed is fully domesticated and has not been cross-bred with any wild breed of cat of any kind. Get educated (like maybe read a book, you cretin) before you go judging someone based on a photo. Christine, great breed, great personality. Personally I prefer the sphynx. And no, Timmy, the sphynx is not a cross between a cat and a hunk of Eqyptian stone.
A guy that lives in my hometown rescued a panther off one of our neighboring mountains. It’s “family” was being hunted by locals. This gentleman built a HUGE (and by huge I mean bigger than most people’s houses) pen (encompassing 4 large oaks and several smaller trees) for this panther. Now I said all that just to let you know that, that panther has become a very important part of the town. It is more friendly than most “house” cats. Very protective of the other animals that have begun to live within it’s sanctuary, and is even put on a leash and taken for walks. This man has “owned” this panther (who’s name is muppet) for close to 20 years. Now I agree that one doesn’t truly own an animal, but really just part owns the love that the animal brings into their life. I do not agree that just because something is a wild animal by birth it will be dangerous. I think that this cat is stunningly beautiful, and can completely understand where some of the commenters are coming from in saying that they would love to be able to enjoy it’s presence in their house (own/have). Why don’t we all just not take things quite so technically, and see where others are coming from. Beautiful animal and in a fantasy of our minds, would be nice to call our own.
They look a bit.. creepy to me >_<
Me thinks the cute will soon wear off, with eyes like that. Looks like a future ferocious!
I find it funny that people aruge on keeping wild animals as pet, considering that all dogs and cats have been domesticated from the wild animals!
There are many legal breeds of dogs that are equally as dangerous as ocelots, margays, oncillas, caracals, ect. Honestly the only real difference is that household pets tend to be raised from the age of 6 months or so, and because of this they become socialized to humans.
I have helped get many local feral{abandoned cats and their offspring} from kittens to adults fixed. Some of which needed medical attention ended up staying with me. Some of them have been absolute sweethearts, some that waited for any chance to shred the bells out of you. I have been scratched and bitten more then my share. Mostly the younger cats where much nicer then the older ones.
The point of the matter is there are dangers of any ‘pet’ you may choose to keep. But if you take to mind to remember even with the domestic pets have needs, most importantly to give them respect, then there will be no issues.
I have a friend who has a small preserve on which he had a heard of buffalo, a wolf, a bear, a cougar, and a deer. The buffalo he had, but the others are rescue cases that can’t return to the wild for medical reasons. The deer watches tv in his house, its allowed in and out. The wolf is skitzy but can be petted and likes to play. The bear is pretty lazy but likes giving the guy hugs. I honestly like the cougar best though, I have gotten to play with him; total sweetheart, but again its a matter of respect. He has all his claws and could easily shred me, or rip me appart with his teeth, I have known this any time he has ever gone to give me a hug or chewed on me softly.
Legitimately I would love to care for larger cats then I currently do, but I realize my limits and I am happy to do what I do!
This cat reminds me of Chris Tucker for some reason ><
I saw a margay a couple days ago! I’m in Costa Rica now and a hotel I stayed in had one, the would call it Tica. SHE IS SOOOOOOOO ABSOLUTLY A-DO-RA-BLE!!!!!!!!!!!!I’ve got picture that u could go chek out at mykittyluv.piczo.com that I’ll post in the next 2 weeks…
MARGAYS AND CATS RULE!!!
Alright Folks. Critics and cute cat lovers both, listen up, I have owned Margays, trained them at home and studied them in the wild, and the general listings just begin to describe how amazing these animals are.
In comfortable captivity with lots of good high protein nutrition, then exceed the 20 lb. wild cat size by almost double.
One male I had averaged 37-39 lbs., and was 25 in. tall to the top of his shoulder. Though well trained and well behaved, he had the intelligence and strength to take down two German Shepards simulatniously in our yard when they thought they ruled the cat kingdom. He simply out classed them in speed and strength, put them both flat on the ground,, held one down in his left paw and the other by the throat and looked to me for permission to kill the offending muts. I called him off and he calmly walked back to the front door and waited to be let in as if it was all in a day’s work.
This display was rare, but with determined intelligent control when stealth and strength were called for. More intelligent than all other four-legged animals on the planet, they are also skilled at calling birds to them in the trees (for obvious reasons). Treetop specialist, they can climb anything, learn to do normal childlike task, like open and close doors, flush toilets behind themselves, and do more than simple tricks.
awww soo cute!!!
People do not own non human animals like they own a house or a car. People are guardians. So just because they will never graduate or move out (some kids sadly fit this bill) does not mean they are owned, it means you have made a commitment to care and love these non human animals for the rest of their life. And in regards to people wanting to adopt wildlife … STUPID. Margay Tiger Cats are wild and should remain so. Instead of wanting one or any other wildlife we should be conserving their natural habitat and not destroying it for our greed.
Awww… he would make a great cuddle kitty!
i doing report on margay annd i think it adorableee it like ice creammm!!!
Wow. Lucifer u poser! DØ NØT PØSE AS ME. OR ELSE I WILL CAUSE U ETERNAL TORMENT
And no. the cat IS mine. it sold it’s soul to me for a Klondike bar annnd to destroy penguins. BTW Bubble Ice Cream. You owe me a duck.
God u did make idiots, they sell souls to me for Klondike bars. that’s what THEY would do for a Klondike bar!
