They like to burrow in their bedding and they're most active at night. For a while we were housesitting at a place with dimmer lights, and we would put them on the dimmest setting to trick him into thinking it was dark even though we could still see him. And he's so active at night! He runs around his cage and plays with his toys and looks like a little bear. @Daisy Amex is actually really good about Max, she's never been even remotely aggressive towards him. Usually she's just confused.
