It’s always nice to know they’ll stick with you even if you can’t afford the fancy brand of dog food.

So sad but I hope they make each other happy.

Yes, it is horribly sad, but imagine the fellow without his dog. The image is a radical expression of the comfort we give and receive from our dogs. All the mountains of stuff I have are insignificant compared to my dogs.

One cold Canadian winter I saw a man with his dog sitting on the ground in front of a burger place.
I went in and got him a meal. He gave the meat to his dog. I never forgot that.

There are so many caring humans out there. Sounds like Sir Alfie’s Mom is one of them. My wife and I were on a Texas highway one time and saw a man, homeless, walking with his dog. We could just tell it was his only and best friend in the world…It made me sad to think they only had each other.

Christine, you are so right. That’s just the way we feel…I could lose everything and it would not matter as long as I have my dogs…

    Very nice post…..
