Thank you for pulling that video. I was concerned when I first saw it and was worried there might be something wrong. That was not normal behavior for a dog....

Oh, deer. I followed Sassy's link and read the vet's comments. My Afghan Hounds do all sorts of weird and interesting things awake and asleep. I have five kids and the same thing could be said about them, along with our four cats. Over the years I have developed a high tolerance for shenanigans, but apparently in this case a poor sense of judgment. I apologize.

Dr Barchus's post says he thinks this dog is having some kind of seizure and isn't just sleep walking. You should remove this link.

I used to sleep walk as a kid and run into walls. I never got hurt because I bounced. It looks like this baby just ended up a little bewildered and sheepish.
I saw this last week on You Tube.
My baby girl has vivid dreams and runs and woofs in the sleep. She hasn't gotten up yet though.
Your concern and care are comendable though. ^_^

Hilarious and no, that pooch wasn't hurt. Sometimes I will be awakened during the night because both my Afghan Hounds are on the bed having exciting dreams. Maybe: "Death to all squirrels!" I'll be the punching bag for 8 giant paws the size of your fist. My younger dog also "talks" in her sleep. Then there's the huge thud when one rolls over and four large legs go overboard and a hound falls off the bed. I must wake up and give many pats and kisses to soothe the wounded ego and, like kitties, the embarrassment.
