This is what I call fawesome – it’s what you get when feathers and awesome collide. These came to me in an email forward, so I don’t know who took them, but I do know that this person witnessed a truly amazing event. Bee. Youtiful….

Yeah, the cold temperatures (-5 F) came with a deep blue sky. The wind hadn’t started and the snow from earlier in the week was still piled up. When the eagles landed, they knocked the snow off their branches. This was about 400 feet from our house in Eagle River, WI.

Wow! Amazing! So many of them in one place!!!
Beautiful !
According to one of the avian biologist with the Wisconsin DNR, these were actually taken in Alaska. But great pictures where ever they were taken!!!
I hope everyone was wearing hats, it could get messy! Awesome pictures.
i’d have to agree with rayhne! look at the plate on the last picture!!! all in all it is a fantabulous picture!!! good bless everyone!!
At least the 2nd and 3rd pics WERE taken in Homer, Alaska. A woman called “the Eagle Lady” lives in that pink trailer. In winter, she feeds the eagles on the beach fish scraps from the local fisherman. (Homer is a fishing town.) She is either a hero or a devil, depending on whom you ask. :) All year round, the Eagles hang near her place on the beach. Kachemak Bay is the water you see in the 2nd pic.
There is an Eagle River, AK, near Anchorage, and that could have been the site of the 1st pic. There are eagles all over the Anchorage bowl area. Beautiful, wherever they’re from. :)
That is one of the most amazing and beautiful things I’ve ever seen! Just WOW!
