To say Charlie has adapted well to his first year of ranch life would be a criminal understatement. He loves nothing more than running free in the fields, barking at an occasional wayward horse, fishing for turtles in our pond, and lounging lazily on the porch of our home.
He joined us when we sorted cattle Saturday morning, following along with our vehicles for over a mile until we reached our spot.
This level of activity does make a Basset tired. Because no matter what their level of physical fitness, Bassets really aren’t famous for their endurance.
But all I have to do is call Charlie’s name, and I know he’ll come running…no matter how pooped out he is.
I had to tell him what a great job he did.

Tele2 is a Swedish telecom giant, known for low rates and funky advertising. In keeping up with their standards of really cool ads, and break-dancing out to include the hip hop doggy dog world, their latest ad campaign involves a beat-barxing basset hound. That’s really all I need to say. Click here or on the image below to start having way too much fun:
And just because I happen to speak that barkbaric language, here’s a translation of the instructions:
RECORD YOUR OWN BEATBOX. Use the keys as shown here. Practice for a while and when you feel ready, start recording by hitting the space bar. Good luck!
