Along the same lines as segments that I remember from my childhood on That’s Cat and Sesame Street, let’s see if you can make your way through the photo-shopping and figure out what animals don’t belong in the following series of pix. It’s pretty tricky. Don’t get all worked up over it if you can’t figure it out. It’s just a game. ;-)

This just goes to show how much fun a cat and some tiny goldfish can have together. See? They’re getting long, they actually LIKE each other. (Worth noting, however, is the fact that the clip is only 14 seconds long. What happens from the 15th second on is perhaps not so snuzzy…)

This week is the “next week” that I’ve been talking about for weeks now. I have been planning to join a gym and start working out for quite some time now, never really thinking that “next week” would ever arrive.

Next week is now.
*Sigh*

To get motivated, I have come up with the following tips and images that are hopefully going to help me get my workout on. If they work for me, they’ll definitely work for you…

1. If it does hang out, let it.

2. Stretch it out, but look good doing it.

3. Rest between sessions.

4. Try to remember which locker is yours.

5. Remember that even the little weights add up.

6. When you DO look in the mirror, try to smile.

7. Eat your carbs.

8. The bigger guys are always happy to spot you.

9. Don’t take anything from little trolls handing out “Power Bars.”

10. When the pull-up bar gets the upper hand…
hang on for dear life.

11. Cool down and relax whenever you get the chance.

12. Don’t forget to work on that mid-section.

13. Drink lots of milk.

14. Don’t make fun of the chicks doing yoga.

15. Breeeeeathe.

16. Eat a piece of fruit.

17. No matter how silly you feel, keep doing it.

18. Check your hair every now and then
or have someone do it for you.

19. Feeling pretty takes a little time.

20. There’s plenty of room in the locker room.
Go ahead and spread out a bit.

21. Try not to accentuate your humps, your humps, your lovely little lumps.

22. The trainers are there to help.

23. Avoid mischievous looking types lurking in corners.

24. You’re going to want to scream. Just do it.

25. Pick up a bite to eat on the way home.

This is Aussie. She’s a fish that lives at a pub in Lympstone, England. As you can see, she likes to flip things around a bit. Starting with herself.

Aussie apparently lives her life in great appreciation of what’s down under–she swims around her tank, eats her food and chats with her buddy Eddie upside down. Here she is with Eddie discussing Amercan politics:

From a recent article in the Daily Mail:

(Pub owner Liam) Matthews said: “When I bought Aussie she was swimming normally but six months later she was swimming about upside down.

“She swims quite fast. She is very fit and she eats her food upside down. Everyone around here knows about her - she’s a bit of a legend.

“Lots of people come around to see her. She is a great attraction, particularly with children.”

No mention is made about whether Aussie’s tank is filled with water, or with beer.

This, my furriends, is a Fishing Cat:

What’s a Fishing Cat, you ask? Well, it’s actually a web-pawed feline that swims around in Southeast Asia and eats fish, along with other small creatures that get in the way. Like chickens, apparently. (That last link will take you to a few NOT SO SNUZZY images of a Fishing Cat getting his feed on, FYI. Be aware.)

Turns out that they’ve got their snuzzy sides, too, something evidenced by these pix. That said, I don’t think I’ll be getting one as a pet any time soon.

The cat being licked in these photos has probably witnessed the Fishing Cat’s eating habits and therefore does NOT look so excited about being cleaned. Can’t say I blame her.

Here’s a little op-ed piece from Animal Internet, in which the age-old question “Why can’t herring be fish of the day?” is taken up and discussed. I know that most of you don’t have time for yet another pressing issue like this, but if you take a minute and read through Slitterman’s piece, you might just start thinking a little bit more… about… um… herring…

How come herring has never been the Fish of the Day? What are we, chopped liver? I bet chopped liver gets to be Fish of the Day before we do. What’s it say about the menu industry when a non-fish is gonna beat out a fish to be Fish Of The Day? Something doesn’t smell right, that’s what it says. And when a fish says that, you should listen.

The first time doesn’t have to be a whole 24 hours. Fish Of The Afternoon would be fine. We just want a shot to prove ourselves. People like herring. Just because we’re not as popular as tuna or salmon that shouldn’t disqualify us. Look at BMW. More people buy Fords but you don’ see BMW dealers complaining. Not a perfect analogy but you get my point.

And consider this: we’re high in potassium. What about that? Huh?

It’s time to give herring a chance. I guarantee we’re going to surprise you. Remember the Titanic? Nobody thought she’d sink but she did, didn’t she?

Again, not a perfect analogy but you get my point.

Of course we do. There-there, little fishy.

Snuzzster Cori Wiza sent in a few grrreat images of her Rex from his latest fishing trip. Cori says:

My puppy Rex was doing his VERY best to eat the fish in my mom’s pond.
He didn’t manage to eat any–but he got a surprise fish kiss!!
(Just before he fell in…)

Rex–thanks for diving in and getting wet in the name of good snuzz!

Wishing you many more fish-kisses in the future,
Snuzzy
