This video had me cracking up, not because it’s a cat responding to questions (we see that every day here in Snuzzland), but because of how sink-dwelling Buddy starts acting and responding when the questions get personal–this starts around 0:44 with the question, “Buddy–are you lazy?” Check it:

This 60 Second Science Podcast came through my speakers the other day and it got me thinking about these poor little sloths, what with their animal kingdom buddies always calling them lazy and all. Sheesh.

But it turns out they’re not as lazy as people think. According to the story:

Using equipment designed to monitor the brain waves of animals in the wild, the scientists found that sloths actually spend less than 10 hours a day asleep in the trees.

And that sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I know my cats spend more time asleep every day than that. Plus, these guys are cute. They need their snuzzy sleep.
