These pictures were actually taken by my aunt on her farm this very February. She gave me permission to post these pictures here on Snuzzy and I’m really excited to share them, they’re beautiful. If anyone else has any pictures of their pets playing in the snow, be sure to send them in.

Snuzzy reader Staci sent in this adorable kitty and the story of her rescue. She says she originally saw her at a Petsmart and immediately called the agency responsible for her in order to adopt her. But she couldn’t get through and the agency never returned her calls. Just when she had given up hope in adopting this kitty she saw her again at a different Petsmart months later! When she introduced her to her dog and they became fast friends she knew she had to adopt her.
If it wasn’t for Staci, the kitty, now named Paloma, may not have ever been adopted…
She was once somebody’s pet, as she had been declawed but not tattooed or microchipped (some people’s priorities, huh?) She presumably got out of her home and was hit by a car. When she was brought in for care, they couldn’t track down her owners! She had to have her back right leg amputated and her left eye is a little bit damaged. For months she sat in a cage waiting for someone to love her and she finally found us!
Now Paloma has found a happy forever home with Staci, and she’s looking better than ever! If you have any rescue stories you’d like to share, be sure to send them in!

This dog, named Stinky Bell, belongs to my mom. She’s an old beagle and I personally think she looks a little like Anne Hathaway. But the story behind her is pretty sweet…
My mom found her in a news paper listing at a kill shelter. The shelter was running out of room and she had been there as long as their policy allowed (no one wanted to adopt a stinky old beagle on her last legs) but they didn’t want to put her down so they put an ad out in the paper. My mom adopted her and found out that her original owner had cancer and could no longer take care of her, so she gave her up to her brother.
The original owner’s brother got tired of taking care of the dog and put her in a kill shelter, without even telling his sister! So when my mom got her paperwork she made sure to contact the original owner and tell her what her brother did to her dog. So now the original owner’s brother is in hot water and Stinky Bell is in a happy home; she sleeps in a little dog bed next to my mom’s bed every night.
If any of you have adoption stories, you can send them in along with a picture of the pet, and I’ll be sure to post them here.
