Did you know that you can keep snails as pets? Well, not in America, but in other countries, such as the UK, many people own giant African land snails as pets. They’re banned from many countries because if they get loose they can wreck havoc on an ecosystem, but as pets they are apparently loving, intelligent, and appreciative of human contact. Here’s some videos people have posted on YouTube of their pet snails in “action”.

In mid-May, American bulldog Brittney was diagnosed with terminal cancer, but instead of putting her down immediately, owner Scott Seymour chose to keep his companion around. His decision paid off on May 23, when a fire broke out in their Grand Rapids, Mich., home, and Brittney’s loud barking woke Seymour in time to save them both from the blaze.
