This dog named Sophie was at her owner’s office, the Times-Standard newspaper in Eureka CA, when she sensed a 6.5 earthquake early and ran to her owner. Dogs are awesome!

Raden Soemawinata was at Brighton Pier to scatter his grandmother’s ashes when he saw strong windws blow Sue Durmmond’s shitzu Bibi into the water. He quickly stripped down and jumped into the water to rescue the dog. It was all captured in still photos by onlooker Chris Scott. (via TheSlyestFox)

Lets start this morning off with something ‘awww’ inspiring! This is an extended trailer for a show called Rescue Ink. It’s about a bunch of guys in New York City (some of them ex-cons, some of them bikers, all of them are pretty intimidating etc) who got together and formed a militia of sorts that investigate reports of animal abuse. They find malnourished pets and injured or illegally owned animals and make sure that the pets end up in a safe home and that the abusers are sent to the proper authorities–after getting the crap scared out of them. It’s nice to know there are some people out there being real life super heroes for pets. (via CuteWithChris)
