Surfin’ Paws Surf Contest!

Dogster member Miss Kia and all of her surfin’ pup pals are putting on a big surf contest in Huntington Beach, CA, on July 11th!

ALL PROCEEDS go the Orange County SPCA – or you can make a direct donation via Paypal.

The 3rd Annual Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition was held last month in San Diego, featuring 60 salt water-loving dogs strutting up and down their boards while their dedicated owners either looked on or rode with them!



The winners this year were:

Heat One: Small surf dogs 40 pounds and under
1st Place: TJ, a Spanish Spaniel
2nd Place: Murphy, a Fox Wire Terrier
3rd Place: Toby, a Shih Tzu mix

Heat Two: Large surf dogs 41 pounds and over
1st Place: Stoli, a Black Lab
2nd Place: Scooter, a Golden Retriever
3rd Place: Stanley, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Heat Three: Teams (surf dogs and humans surfing together on the same board at the same time)
1st Place: Zoey, a Jack Russell Terrier, and his owners Scott and Tyler Chandler
2nd Place: Pogey, a Poodle mix, and her owner Lauren Leslie
