Water Bears: Adorable, Invincible

Water bears (named for their bear-like walk) are these little microscopic lichen-eating organisms that are both adorable and invincible. Or at least, they’re the most durable creatures on Earth. They can survive tempratures from -273 °C (close to absolute zero) to 151 °C (1,000 times more heat than most animals) and can stay alive more than a decade without water. Scientists have even exposed them to the vaccuum of space for 10 days and they survived! It’s nice to know that no matter what happens, our planet will be survived by the Twinky and the water bear.

Fennec Invasion

Fennec foxes are the cutest! Their ears are so unlike any other animal, it makes them look like fuzzy little aliens. If there was a cute-off between fennecs and donkeys, for “best ears” fennec foxes would win, but just barely. Check out more alien-like cuteness at our friends, PeoplePets.
