Here’s the thing about sloths: You either love them or hate them. They’re very controversial in the realm of cute animals. I know at least two people who describe them as their least favorite animal and at least two who describe them as their favorite animal. In photos they can be cute, especially as babies. But in videos? They border on abomination. STILL, they have some kind of essence of snuzziness, buried somewhere deep behind their cold apathetic eyes. What do you think, Snuzzy readers? Should sloth coverage continue on Snuzzy, or should I just keep posting all otters all the time?

Sloths are adorable and fascinating! Choosing to exclude them from coverage would be an abomination!

I am sort of medium with regard to sloths. Anything with fuzz is snuzz. Skip the reptiles and bugs, although frogs and butterflies are lovely. No snakes! Here’s the thing about sloths. Those dudes know how to relax. They get all droopy and rubbery like ferrets. I shall think, “I am a sloth/ferret” next time I am stuck in traffic and about to explode.

I had a pet ferret in high school named Twiggy, my mom would take him to my brother’s football games and he’d sit with his butt in her lap and his head slowly working his way into a treat-filled Pringles tube.

Sloths are great! They don’t have cold eyes, they just look at the world in confusion all the time. It all moves so fast! They are very other-worldly.

Hi, Brad—That is very funny about your mom, football and the ferret. My four sons all played football, wrestled and did baseball and my daughter did track and horse shows. I guess bringing along a ferret would have been a good plan as sometimes I was pretty bored at half time. One time I went to the big Thanksgiving game in a black mink, leather boots and sexy sunglasses along with Greta Garbo, my only Afghan Hound at that time. The game had just started. I do not know how she did it, as Afghans are very devious, but Greta slipped her lead and ran onto the field to help our team. The players, refs and cops all ran around like the Keystone Cops to catch Greta. It was quite embarrassing. Also very funny.
