The next time you’re passing through Kishi Station on the Kishigawa Line in Kinokawa, Japan, make sure you give Tama a high paw. The cat, born and raised in the station, stayed on as stationmaster after the railway was forced to let go of its personnel at the station.

Now Tama sits and snuzzes, keeping an eye on passers-by.
